An evening of fun
They spent the evening on a scavenger hunt and then used all the items we found to build a big 100 to help the Senior Section celebrate their birthday.

Perfect compensation
It was a hot sunny day and I was soon wishing I had chosen another day to come. I worked steadily and after 2 hours I was pleased with the look of the camp store. It was clean and tidy.
I was hot and tired but as I walked out of the hut I was met with the beautiful sight of the campsite bathed in sunshine. I sat on Alice's bench and enjoyed the moment. What perfect compensation for my hard work.

Years of service
Following Honour's death Christopher Cadbury remarried and his wife was not keen for the guides to camp in her garden. So the campsite was gifted to us in memory of Honour Cadbury and so that all guides had access to an area for camping.
Since then the site has been managed, maintained and developed by an ever changing team of guiders from the two divisions. The one thing they have in common is they are passionate about the site and keeping it available to young people for generations to come.
Around the site there are many "memories" of people who have contributed to the site over the years. These include benches, trees and quiet areas.
We are creating a memory board in the hut at Beaconfield to mark the contribution of people to the site. If you think anyone deserves a mention on this please let us know.

As summer approaches
Both sites are looking fantastic after some dedicated input from our spring working party & efforts from the committee members.
The bluebells are just coming into their own, filling the woods with a carpet of blue.
We hope to hear from you soon.
