CSV working party day

On 19th October thirteen volunteers from KMPG spent a day working on Beaconfield. They cleared brush from behind the hut and all the way along the edge of the camping area on Beaconfield. This was a massive job that would have taken many months to achieve without their help.

They worked incredibly hard for the entire day and kept the committee members entertained at the same time. At the end of the day they took part in a wide game in the woods organised by the committee and finished of the day with a game of rounders.

We would like to thank them all for their hard work which has made such a difference to our campsite.

Rainbows Enjoy Campsite

The Last meeting of the summer term saw the 238th Birmingham Rainbows and their families at the Beaconsfield campsite for an evening picnic.

Umbrellas and waterproofs were bought along just in case but amazingly not needed.

The evening started with the enrolment of our three new Rainbows Freya, Carla and Isabella, who will in years to come hopefully remember where they made their first Guiding promise.

Picnics were quickly eaten before the Rainbows and their siblings went off to find the play equipment in the wood, whilst their parents relaxed and chatted.

A good night was had by all and I don’t think anyone really wanted to go home.
